Transition Planning
Transition Planning is a process of planning, organizing, and managing critical tasks (such as licensing, new department orientation & training) that need to be completed in order to safely move into your new hospital and be fully operational on move day. The tools and project management services we provide include the development of transition planning infrastructures, critical task logs, critical task schedules, budget development, new department operations work plans and move day planning. We use HTS’ FreightTrain™ Software tools to support the development and implementation of the overall transition plan.
HTS’ project specific schedules demonstrate departmental interdependencies that help departments understand the importance of completing their tasks on time and recognize how their work impacts other departments and work groups. We use colored floor plans or “Visual Fragnets” to meet with hospital departments and essentially “walk them through their space” to identify new department workflow and new day-to-day hospital operations.
HTS will work with you and your staff by providing experienced project management support, guidance and leadership. The end result of a successfully implemented comprehensive transition plan is a seamless, safe and successful move into your new hospital.
